Controversial Farage Expected To Divide Opinion On I’m A Celeb 2023
Last year the former Health Secretary Matt Hancock entered the I’m A Celebrity jungle and it was no shocker to see the Tory MP quickly getting voted to do the humiliating Bushtucker Trials.
And this year it could be more of the same with the world of politics set to dominate the trials again in the shape of Nigel Farage.
The former UKIP leader and staunch Brexiteer, Farage is reported to be collecting over £1m for his stint in the jungle but this news is also likely to further rile those against the politician.
Farage Odds-On To Face The Most Bushtucker Trials
With this in mind, the trial voters are expected to come out in force and make Farage pay for his lofty appearance fee and thrust him straight into the Bushtucker Trial limelight.
The SportsLens odds team are, therefore, taking no chances in the Nigel Farage I’m A Celebrity odds specials market at just 4/11 to do the most trials over series 23.
Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas holds the record for the most trials in a series, with 12 back in 2016.
Neil Roarty, Betting Expert at SportsLens, said: “I’m A Celebrity has stood the test of time and will air for its 23rd series on 19th November in what looks one of the best line-ups for a long time.
“The ITV bosses have clearly got their chequebook out this year in finally securing Nigel Farage – a contestant they’ve reportedly been after for ages – in what looks set to be a bumper payday for the marmite politician.”
“However, even though Farage may be laughing all the way to the bank – now he’s managed to get an account – he’s also expected to be at the forefront of the early Bushtucker Trials and it’s easy to see why.”
“It will be a huge shock if Farage is not trotting off with Ant and Dec to face the first BTT and the fate of further votes will rest on how he performs. If he squeals like a pig and comes home with next to none, then we can expect him to be voted in for many more. However, if he does okay then we could see Farage’s votes being used elsewhere.”
“Overall, you don’t need me to tell you Farage is going to be as controversial a character as they’ve ever had on the show, but if he does get his head down and says the right things at the right time, the smiley politician could easily end up in the last three at 7/4. Don’t forget, Matt Hancock, who was tipped to be out early last year, defied the odds and made it all the way to the final (finishing third)”
