Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has shortened to 9/1 in the latest odds as the next Premier League manager to be sacked after his side blew a two-goal lead to Manchester City on Thursday.

According to bookmakers, Conte looks to be safe despite Spurs falling to a 4-2 defeat against Manchester City on Thursday despite leading 2-0 at half time.

Goals from Dejan Kulusevski and Emerson Royal gave the visitors a dream lead, but City came out after the break firing on all cylinders and the floodgates soon opened. Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland added one each with Riyad Mahrez scoring a fantastic double.

Conte’s Tottenham have now lost three of their last four league games and potential replacements include Mauricio Pochettino, Ralph Hasenhuttl, Thomas Tuchel and Roberto Martinez.

Is Antonio Conte’s job on the line after 4-2 Manchester City loss?

Antonio Conte has been in the Spurs job for over a year now and remains unable to move the club any further than the progress achieved with Mauricio Pochettino.

Premier League betting sites suggest that Conte is not facing the sack imminently and will continue his job as Tottenham boss, with another meeting with Man City on the horizon in the first week of February.

The 53-year-old is fourth-favourite amongst Premier League managers to be sacked next after a run of two straight defeats and three losses in the last four, but Tottenham remain fifth in the table.

West Ham’s David Moyes is the favourite to be sacked next with Everton’s Frank Lampard in second and Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch in third.

Harry Kane is still the second top goalscorer in the league behind Erling Haaland who added his 22nd goal of the campaign against Spurs and the game was a reminder that Conte’s side have plenty of catching up to do on Guardiola’s.

Next up for Conte is a trip to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Monday night, with kick-off at 8pm under the lights in West London.
