Newcastle United Show Interest In Out-Of-Favour PSG Midfielder Fabian Ruiz

Newcastle are reportedly interested in signing PSG star, Fabian Ruiz, as the Spaniard’s future in France has been surrounded with doubt.

Newcastle are in the early stages of making a an attempt to sign the Spanish international, however, the Magpies will need to offload some players to make the transfer happen.

Eddie Howe has been very proactive during the opening stages of the summer window, signing Harvey Barnes and Sandro Tonali for a combined £93m.

The 27-year-old has made 37 appearances for the French champions, scoring three and assisting three – helping PSG to another league title.

Despite signing for the club in the summer of last year, Fabian’s future has been put into doubt after the club’s disappointing display in Europe. PSG were knocked out of the Champions League quarter-final after losing to Bayern Munich across two-legs.

The midfielder has attracted interest from a host of clubs and has reportedly caught the eye of Howe, making a move to St James’ a possibility. Especially with Newcastle’s superb display in the Premier League last season.

Eddie Howe’s side are preparing for a huge summer after finishing fourth in the Premier League, as European football will return to Tyneside for the first time in over two decades.

Rival fans will be worried over Newcastle’s progress following a Saudi Arabian takeover and the club could be set for a huge window.

Key signings have been key for Eddie Howe’s side, as Kieran Trippier, Bruno Guimaraes and Nick Pope were key members in the squad’s success last season.

The former Napoli star has four-years remaining on his current deal in Paris, meaning any deal could cost the Toon up to £40m this summer.
