Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea midfielder, Conor Gallagher, with the Magpies looking to strengthen in the summer.
Gallagher established himself in the Premier League during his loan-spell at Crystal Palace last season, earning himself a place in the Chelsea squad for the 2022-23 campaign. However, things have not got to plan for the England international and he may be on his way out of London.
The Chelsea academy graduate has made 28 appearances in the league, starting only 12 times so far. Gallagher failed to make an impact under Graham Potter but has featured more since Frank Lamaprd returned to the club.
Todd Boehly has fallen out-of-favour amongst Chelsea supporters, with the club sitting 11th in the table and trail by a two-goal deficit in their Champions League quarter final against Real Madrid.

The American owner has spent over half a billion pounds since taking over from Roman Abrahmovic and is yet to see a return from his investment. The Blues are expected to spend more in the summer window, which could see the end if Gallagher’s time in the capital.
One club that are interested in the midfielder is Eddie Howe’s Newcastle, the Magpies are on track to qualify for European football and could even end with a top four finish.
According to reports, the Tyneside club are expected to offer over £40m for the England international – a similar fee to Anthony Gordon.
The Toon are not the only club that are keen on the Chelsea star, Everton have expressed an interest, but with the Toffee’s battling relegation it may be hard to entice a Premier League proven player.
