Eddie Howe has started to look for possible additions for his Newcastle side next season, with Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby topping the Magpies transfer list.
The club from Tyneside have shocked the Premier League with their performances this season, with Eddie Howe’s side taking up a Champions League spot for the majority of the year. However, their recent Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester United and dropping out of the top four, has shown how they can still improve.
Mike Ashley ended his tenure at Newcastle in 2021, with the club being taken over by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. This reportedly made the Toon the wealthiest team in the Premier League and signings that were once unrealistic, could become a reality.
Since the takeover the club had hired Eddie Howe and signed players including Kieran Trippier, Alexander Isak, and Sven Botman amongst many more. The newest addition was Anthony Gordon, who moved from Everton for £45m, but the Magpies are still looking to strengthen in attacking areas.
Amanda Staveley and Pep Guardiola have talked up Newcastle United's future successes.
But, after a third successive defeat, #NUFC are short of the depth needed to challenge right now.

According to reports, the Newcastle boss is eager to bring in Bayer Leverkusen winger, Moussa Diaby. The speedy winger has taken the league by storm this season, scoring 11 goals and adding six assists from 31 appearances. Overall for the Bundesliga side, he has managed to contribute 46 goals and 38 assists on 155 appearances.
Arsenal are also said to be interested in the France international, with Mikel Arteta looking to strengthen his side for next season. The Gunners are favourites to win the title and this could be enough to tempt Diaby to London instead of the club from Tyneside.
