Newcastle United are in pole position to sign talented Southampton defender Tino Livramento and have entered advanced negotiations to secure his services.
Tino Livramento Wanted By Mapgies
Discussions are ongoing between Newcastle and Saints with the former making a number of offers for the England under-21 right-back.
However, the latest offer is said to be short of Southampton’s valuation for the 20-year-old.
The south coast outfit value Livramentro at around £25m, which is £10m more than Newcastle’s valuation. Despite the £25m price tag, the youngster could move on for cheaper following his side’s relegation to the Championship.

Eddie Howe is a long time admirer of the former Chelsea youth product, but Brighton are also said to be interested in him.
But with Champions League football coming to St James’ Park, any target could be swayed with a move up north.
Livramento joined Saints from Chelsea for £5m back in 2021, and immediately impressed in the Premier League in his debut season. Unfortunately, his first season in the top flight ended prematurely when he suffered a serious knee injury ruling out of action for 13 months.
He returned to action for Southampton’s two final games of the season when he featured against Brighton and Liverpool.
Newcastle are looking to bolster their squad ahead of their return to European football, and Livramento could serve as a back-up to Kieran Trippier.
