According to UK betting sites, Newcastle and Manchester United are amongst the favourites to sign former Chelsea star, Tammy Abraham in the summer window.

Both the Red Devils and Magpies have enjoyed a successful season so far, occupying the third and fourth spot in the Premier League table. The pair even played out the Carabao Cup final back in March, with Erik ten Hag’s side coming out victorious.

The Dutchman has revolutionised life at Old Trafford, as they are now unbeaten in their last 23 home matches in all competitions. This run has seen his side progress to the Europa League quarter final, FA Cup semi final and end their six-year wait for a trophy – lifting the aforementioned Carabao Cup.

Key signings have been pivotal in United’s success this year, as the likes of Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez have brought a sense of security to the 20 time league champions.

One problem they are yet to resolve, despite the loan signing of Wout Weghorst, is the need for an out-and-out striker. With Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen being linked with a possible move to Manchester in the summer.

However, according to the bookies, ten Hag’s side are amongst a list of clubs interested in Roma forward, Tammy Abraham. The England international has been linked with a return to his former side Chelsea, but with the Blues’ recent struggles they may not be able to entice their former talisman.

Abraham has contributed to 13 goals in 40 games across all competitions so far and has been crucial in the Italian side’s run in the Europa League.

His form under Jose Mourinho has put him on the radar of multiple Premier League clubs, as Newcastle are also in the hunt for the 25-year-old.

The Magpies are close to securing European football for the first time in a decade and look set to become a new member in the league’s ‘big six’. However, should Eddie Howe look to sign the Roma star they will have to battle Chelsea and Manchester United for the Brit’s signature.
