Mykhalio Mudryk came off in the 63rd minute in yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Bournemouth. Once again the Ukrainian struggled to find any momentum in the game. Chelsea coach Mauricio Pochettino is crying out for Mudryk to learn more about the game.

Mudryk’s career has been lacklustre ever since he joined Chelsea for £88.5m in January. In nineteen appearances he’s only managed two assists in all competitive competitions.

He’s found it hard like to adapt to the Premier League style of play since moving from Shakhtar Donetsk. He isn’t the only one as many other Chelsea players who have recently signed under Todd Boehly’s ownership have failed to make an impact at the club as they currently sit 14th in the table.

The Chelsea head coach said: “He is improving. He still needs to learn; the Premier League is very fast, the speed of the game is so fast.

“I think it’s about understanding the game better, try to be more connected sometimes with the team. We need to give the time and to give the tools for him to improve during the season.

“We need to be tough in the way we are trying. It’s about improving our efficacy in front of the goal. We need to be calm also, but in these types of circumstances it is not easy for the players to be calm in front of the goal but we cannot blame no one.”
