Chapman’s first selection of the day is WESTERTON. In the handicap for three-year-olds, Alan King’s gelding is drawn well in stall four and with Ryan Moore in the saddle, can go well. Going up in trip should only help this horse, and the way he has finished over a mile and a quarter suggests it will be perfect. Westerton is also versatile ground-wise, and will produce a stern challenge to Kylian, who will be expected to go off around EVS.

The second selection for Chapman on the day is JUMBLY. This 7f contest for mares and fillies should be a good battle, with plenty in with a shout. This drop back down in trip should suit and she is a strong contender considering her winning form on soft ground. Since switching stables to Joseph O’Brien, she has been fairly useful, but fading out in the final couple of furlongs recently over 1m suggests that 7f could be just about right with Ryan Moore in the saddle once again.

Chapman’s third selection of the day is KYLIAN, who has impressed massively over the last couple of months and seems to be improving with every run. This Karl Burke two-year-old finished fast last time from off the pace so can expect another strong late run with Ryan Moore aboard for the second time in a row. A win here for Moore could also set him up perfectly for the Sussex Stakes in the race that follows, where Chapman has another fancy.

To finish the Matt Chapman Glorious Goodwood tips, the popular pundit is siding with PADDINGTON. This Aidan O’Brien three-year-old is hard to see past, and is looking for a sixth straight victory. His victories in the Irish 2000 Guineas, St James’s Palace Stakes and the Coral Eclipse make him the best horse in this contest by far. Paddington is also versatile, and can go on any ground he’s raced on, and his short price shows just that. He’ll likely go off even shorter than what he currently is, with punters expected to flock.
