Liverpool have moved to 3/1 favourites to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea before next season and following a busy January transfer window for the Blues as well as a poor season so far…. could it finally be time for Mount to go?
Mason Mount is one of the brightest prospects to come out of the Chelsea academy and having been at the club for over 20 years, it would be a real shame for the midfielder if he was to leave the club this Summer.
An exit at the end of the season is looking more and more likely however, as the 24-year old seems to have fallen out of favour in the current Chelsea squad.
Mount is currently signed on at Chelsea until 2024 however after finding it hard to break into the first team this season, the star could be on his way out with contract extension talks delayed.

Chelsea spent over £300 million in the January transfer window and players such as Joao Felix, Enzo Fernandez, Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke all seem to fit into Graham Potter’s lineup ahead of Mount.
The English midfielder has been struggling to get into the side in recent weeks, however Mount did feature against Tottenham briefly in the Premier League last week, before it was revealed that he was struggling with an injury after the game.
Liverpool will be frontrunners in the race to sign Mason Mount this summer if the 24-year-old is unable to agree a new contract at Stamford Bridge 📰

The injury to his pelvis meant that Mount missed out on Chelsea’s remarkable comeback win over Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, however the injury will not keep Mount from playing in the quarter final of the Champions League.
With just three goals and two assists in 23 Premier League games this season, Mason Mount is really struggling to make an impact in a weak Chelsea side right now.
Should Mount choose to sign with the favourites Liverpool before next season, he would link up with the likes of Mohammed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo, who hit six past Manchester United at the weekend between them – so there certainly would be plenty of goals to be had if Mount made the switch to Merseyside.
Mason Mount Next Club Odds:
Liverpool @ 3/1
Manchester United @ 4/1
Manchester City @ 12/1
PSG @ 16/1
Inter @ 25/1
