Erik ten Hag’s already-lengthy injury list was added to this week as it was confirmed that Argentina international defender Lisandro Martinez will face an extended period on the sidelines due to an aggravation of a foot injury.
Martinez suffered the injury against Sevilla in the Europa League last season, but recovered in time for the new season, however the injury was re-aggravated against Arsenal earlier last month, and he will now require treatment.
The Argentine joins Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo on the treatment table, whilst Sergio Reguilon is a doubt for Tuesday evening’s tie after missing the game against Crystal Palace at the weekend due to a minor injury.
Antony may also return to the fold after being re-integrated into the Red Devils squad last week, as Jadon Sancho‘s hiatus from being involved under Ten Hag continues.
As for the Turkish champions, Kazımcan Karataş is the only confirmed absentee for the clash at Old Trafford, as the 20-year-old misses out due to a leg injury.
Ex-Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is also an injury concern for the visitors and has been marked as a doubt for the tie, meanwhile former Manchester United man Wilfried Zaha is fit-and-firing after his goal at the weekend, and is expected to be in from the off on Tuesday.
