Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Atletico Madrid star, Joao Felix, who could be available for another loan deal following his temporary move to Chelsea last season.

The Red Devils have been linked with a host of names during the early stages of the summer window, including the likes of Andre Onana and Sofyan Amrabat.

Erik ten Hag secured his first signing of the summer, as Mason Mount swapped Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford in a deal that cost the club £55m plus add ons.

Another player who donned the Chelsea strip last season, Joao Felix, could also be on his way to Manchester as the Dutchman is reportedly keen on signing the Portuguese international.

Felix made 20 appearances during his time in the capital, scoring four goals in the process. However, the 23-year-old was unable to turn things around for the Blues.

Chelsea had a catastrophic campaign, as they finished 12th in the Premier League and recorded the lowest points tally in the club’s history.

Former Brighton manager, Graham Potter, was hired in September and was sacked after just six-months following a poor run of results.

His replacement, Frank Lampard, was unable to improve life at Stamford Bridge and the Blues ended the season without a single victory over any side in the top six.

No European football makes a return to Chelsea unlikely and Felix has expressed his desire to leave Atletico Madrid this summer – after training with the reserves in pre-season.

His contract in Spain is set to expire in 2027, meaning any permanent transfer would cost around £90m. United are reportedly unwilling to match this price-tag and would prefer to sign the striker on loan.
