Manchester United will remain focused on holding on to their exciting youngsters amid Argentine talent Alejandro Garnacho’s feud with first-team manager Erik ten Hag.

Garnacho, 19, risked the wrath of Erik ten Hag at the weekend when he liked social media posts by Manchester United YouTuber Mark Goldbridge, which questioned his substitution in the 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.
It is the latest twist in a crazy period of disciplinary matters at Old Trafford, where Mason Greenwood, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Marcus Rashford have all made the news for various reasons.
Reports have claimed that the matter with Garnacho is being dealt with internally, and United are likely to tread carefully at a time when their young stars are so crucial to the future.
Sources have indicated to SportsLens that Ten Hag’s development of young players is one of the traits that might actually keep him in the job beyond this season.
Yet United will need to keep Garnacho happy when the likes of Paris Saint-Germain might sense an opportunity to tempt him away from the North West.
Garnacho is one of the players that United want to build around, and in that mould, Rasmus Hojlund will continue to be given the striker’s role next season as the club believes he is emerging as a top talent in the league.
Youngsters Kobbie Mainoo and Willy Kambwala have both enjoyed breakout seasons with Manchester United and are set to sign new, improved contracts at the club to make sure they remain part of the picture moving forward.
Ten Hag remains under scrutiny at United and is not yet guaranteed his place in the dugout for next season. Beyond his work with young talent, it is difficult to see a genuine philosophy in place or improvements to the potential of the squad as a whole.
Any tension with Garnacho adds to the problems he has already been encountering at United.
Greenwood has been loaned out to La Liga side Getafe following high-profile charges made against him that were dropped, with his reputation taking a serious hit. Antony was given a leave of absence by the club to deal with allegations against him of violence against women.
Sancho was shipped out on loan to former club Borussia Dortmund after being shut out of the first-team picture by Ten Hag. This came after the England international publicly defended himself and failed to apologise following criticism from the Dutch coach.
Meanwhile, star forward Rashford was forced to confront stories about his life away from the pitch when he was pictured on a boozy night out in Belfast earlier in the year.
