Manchester United have finally got a deal for Andre Onana over the line, as the Inter goalkeeper is set to fly to Manchester to complete his medical today ahead of a €55m move.

The Red Devils have been looking for a David De Gea replacement since the Spaniard left Old Trafford on a free transfer earlier this month.

Onana emerged as Manchester United’s number one target before De Gea had even left and with personal terms agreed weeks ago, there was just a fee left to decide on between the clubs.

United have finally been able to agree on a price for their new number one, with Inter accepting a €51m bid + €4m in add ons according to Fabrizio Romano.

Erik Ten Hag was keen to reunite with Onana who used to play for Ajax during the Dutch manager’s time in charge and after keeping the most clean sheets in the Champions League last season he proved an obvious option.

Onana becomes just United’s second signing this summer, after they were able to secure Mason Mount from Chelsea for £55m earlier in the month.

With United reportedly only having a budget of £100m to spend ahead of next season, they could already need to begin selling some players to raise funds in order to make any more acquisitions.

Ten Hag’s side have been linked with Serie A starlet Rasmus Hojlund recently, but Atalanta are demanding a fee of  €70m for their striker.
