Manchester City owner Shiekh Mansour is planning to attend Saturday’s Champions League final against Inter Milan in Istanbul.

Mansour, the deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, hasn’t attended a competitive match for over 13 years but will break his absence tonight.

According to The Athletic, the 52-year-old will be in attendance as City aim to complete a famous treble of the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

No English club has managed to achieve this feat since Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United side in 1998/99.

After buying the club 15 years ago in 2008, Mansour has attended one competitive game at home to Liverpool and two exhibitions in Abu Dhabi.

According to the latest odds, City are heavy favourites to do the job over Inter and cap off a phenomenal season in style.

Their path to the final included RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid – taking arguably the hardest route possible.

After heartbreak in the semi-final last season against Madrid and losing 1-0 in the final to Chelsea two years, City are setting out to put things right in Istanbul.

Inter have been priced at 11/2 to win the game compared to City at 1/5, further reinforcing the bookies’ faith in the Manchester outfit who can earn maiden European glory.
