Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte is reportedly considering a move back to Atheltic Bilbao, as the La Liga side prepare a bid for the defender.
Pep Guardiola is expecting a host of departures this summer, with Ilkay Gundogan already moving to Barcelona this summer.
Kyle Walker, Riyad Mahrez and now, Aymeric Laporte, have all been linked with transfers away this month and the latter has reportedly attracted interest from his former side, Athletic Bilbao.
The 29-year-old played for the club between 2012-2017, making 222 appearances and winning the Spanish Super Cup in the process.
Laporte has two-years remaining on his City contract, meaning any move away from the Etihad could cost between £30-40m.
Guardiola is reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich defender, Benjamin Pavard, which could see Laporte return to his former side this summer.

Manchester City shocked the footballing world, as the blue side of Manchester completed the treble and won the Champions League final against Inter Milan – clinching the club’s first European trophy.
Despite this historic achievement, Laporte is still set to depart in the coming weeks following a hugely successful tenure in England.
The Spain international has made 179 appearances under Pep Guardiola, contributing to 16 goals from a central defensive position.
During his time in England, Laporte has won five Premier League titles, a Champions League, two FA Cups and four Carabao Cup trophies – a truly astonishing career.
Juventus had reportedly been interested in signing the 29-year-old defender, however, after a recent exclusion from Europe the deal now seems unlikely and Bilbao are in pole position to land their former star.
The Spanish side finished 8th in La Liga last season and are keen to bolster their squad for a stronger campaign in 2024.
