According to reports, Luton Town are interested in signing Spurs defender, Japhet Tanganga, who has fallen out-of-favour in recent months.

Luton are set to continue their activity in the summer window, as reports say that The Hatters are keen on signing Japhet Tanganga, in a move that would take Luton’s total signings up to two.

The newly-promoted side stunned the country with their performance in the Championship, earning a spot in the Premier League for the first time in history.

However, with the club set to expand on the renowned Kenilworth Road, funds for transfers may be limited and Rob Edwards will need to be shrewd with his additions.

Luton are not the only club that have reported intrigue in the Spurs defender, as Serie A side, Atalanta, are also keen on landing the 24-year-old’s signature.

The 2022-23 season was a difficult campaign for Spurs, as they finished outside the Premier League top seven for the first time in just under a decade.

Ryan Mason failed to turn things and the club ended their long search for a permanent head coach by appointing Ange Postecoglou on a four-year deal.

The English defender made just seven appearances in all competitions last season, which has surrounded his future at Tottenham with doubt.

However, despite the new head coach, Tanganga has been linked with a move elsewhere and is available for both a loan, or permanent deal away from Spurs.

The Spurs defender has two-years remaining on his Tottenham contract, meaning any move for the 24-year-old could cost up to £20m.
