Liverpool are reportedly willing to offload Spanish midfielder, Thiago Alcantara, as the Reds prepare a move for Southampton ace, Romeo Lavia.
Jurgen Klopp has been busy in the opening weeks of this summer transfer window, with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai joining the red side of Merseyside and according to reports, the club are not finished yet.
Southampton midfielder, Romeo Lavia, has caught the attention from a host of Premier League sides following an impressive 2022-23 campaign. The Belgian made 36 league appearances and contributed to six goals – impressing the likes of Jurgen Klopp.
In order to land the Saints star, Liverpool are preparing to offload a variety of players, after already losing Roberto Firmino, James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The Reds are reportedly willing to add Thiago Alcantara to the list of summer departures.

The former Barcelona midfielder has made 97 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side following his move from Bayern Munich in 2020 and has provided a sense of elegance in the Reds midfield.
During his time in England, the 32-year-old has won the FA Cup and League Cup, whilst being a part of the Liverpool side who narrowly lost to Real Madrid in the 2022 Champions League final.
Should the Spaniard leave Anfield this summer, then a move to Saudi Arabia appears the most likely as a multitude of players have joined the up and coming league.
Roberto Firmino, Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly are just some of the players who have moved this summer and Thiago has one-year remaining on his current deal.
Meaning any move for the Spanish midfield maestro could be simple to complete, as the Reds will not want to lose Thiago on a free next summer.
