Liverpool vs West Ham Preview & Prediction
West Ham make the trip up to Merseyside to take on English top flight high-flyers Liverpool in the last of four Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday night, looking to extend their unbeaten run to three straight matches.
The Hammers booked their spot in the quarter-finals with a 3-1 win over league leaders Arsenal, meanwhile Jurgen Klopp‘s Reds narrowly edged Bournemouth 2-1 thanks to goals from attacking duo Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo.
Liverpool head into this one occupying second place in the Premier League table, without a win in their last two though, while West Ham have won two in succession after being battered 5-0 by Fulham less than two weeks ago.
David Moyes‘ side have already made the journey up to Anfield once this term, where Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota and Nunez all scored as the Reds played out a comfortable 3-1 victory in the league back in September.
Differently to that clash though, we expect both sides to make plenty of changes in order to ease the pressure of the hectic football calendar amid their respective European campaigns.
