Jurgen Klopp has thrilled Liverpool supporters as he includes Diogo Jota in the matchday squad for tonight’s Merseyside derby.
The Reds have had a difficult season so far, as they sit 10th in the table and are priced at 5/1 to clinch Champions League qualification, according to UK betting sites. Klopp has faced a lot of scrutiny from supporters, for the first time in his six-year reign.
Jota’s inclusion in the squad is a shock for some fans as the forward has been out on the sideline for over three months. The forward has appeared four times in the Premier League this season and completed his last 90 minutes in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Manchester City.

The 26-year-old made 35 appearances last season, scoring 15 goals and getting six assists. He is one of three players making a return to the squad, Virgil van Dijk and Luis Diaz are also back from long-term injuries.
The blue side of Merseyside will be looking to take advantage of their local rivals’ poor form, as Sean Dyche manages his second match for the Toffee’s. The former Burnley manager got off to a great start by beating Arsenal 1-0 thanks to a James Tarkowski header.
