Bayern Munich & Liverpool are reportedly interested in hijacking Chelsea’s deal for Moises Caicedo, as the Reds open negotiations with Brighton over a move for the Ecuadorian.
The Reds are keen on adding yet another midfielder to their ranks, following the departure of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have reportedly contacted Brighton over the possibility of signing Moises Caicedo, despite the youngster being linked with a move to Chelsea all summer.
Bayern Munich have reportedly entered negotiations too, as the German side look to complete a double swoop for Harry Kane and Moises Caicedo.
The Blues have had a series of bids rejected by the Seagulls and appeared to have turned their attention elsewhere, triggering Tyler Adams’ release clause – joining from Leeds for £20m.
Chelsea have also submitted a £48m bid for Southampton midfielder, Romeo Lavia, who was also on Liverpool’s radar this summer.
However, the clubs appear to have swapped targets and Liverpool are now in contention to sign Moises Caicedo – days before the teams face off on Sunday.

Since signing for the Seagulls in 2019, the 21-year-old has emerged as one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League. Being a pivotal part of Brighton’s squad under both Graham Potter, and Roberto De Zerbi.
Making 43 appearances in all competitions, the 21-year-old has continued his superb performances this season. His consistency has helped Brighton reach the FA Cup semi final for the first time in over 30 years.
Both Manchester United and Arsenal had shown interest in Caicedo, as the Gunners looked set to sign the youngster in January before talks broke down.
The Brighton midfielder even took to social media to push for a move, however both parties failed to agree a fee and he stayed at the Amex.
Caicedo has four-years remaining on his current Brighton contract and could cost a record transfer fee, something that could cause difficulty in negotiations for both Liverpool and Bayern.
