A dismal season by Liverpool’s recent standards saw them settle for a spot in the Europa League, but a busy summer in the transfer market has Reds fans feeling optimistic for the campaign ahead. Liverpool began their pre-season preparations with a double header in Germany, where they swept aside Karlsruher SC at the BBBank Wildpark last week before a playing out thrilling eight-goal draw in Bavaria against Furth.
Their trip to Singapore also began with another goal-laden fixture after firing four past Leicester, while a seven goal-thriller last time out with Bayern Munich has raised a few questions over the defence.

A short training camp in Germany is “exactly what we need” according to Jurgen Klopp, who was enthused by the thought of having all of his squad in one place.
After departing his native Germany, he and his team headed to Asia for the second successive year, with now-Championship opponents Leicester put to the sword in a 4-0 rout in Singapore.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich claimed a dramatic late win last time out courtesy of two late goals, including a belter from Frans Kratzig.
Their fifth and final pre-season fixture will be shown live on LFCTV next Monday.
