According to UK betting sites, Liverpool are surprise contenders to sign Chelsea star, Conor Gallagher, as the England international is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
The 2022-23 season was a tough campaign for Liverpool supporters, as the Reds missed out on Champions League football for the first time in seven years.
A remarkable 4-4 draw was enough to secure fifth spot in the Premier League and now Jurgen Klopp will turn his attention to the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool are reportedly set for a huge overhaul this summer and a host of midfield signings are expected, with Alexis Mac Allister close to agreeing a move to Anfield.
After missing out on Borussia Dortmund star, Jude Bellingham, Klopp’s side are looking elsewhere and are shock contenders to land former Crystal Palace ace, Conor Gallagher.

Making 45 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, the 23-year-old has been a prominent figure under Frank Lampard – contributing to four goals in the process.
However, due to Chelsea’s poor display in the Premier League this season, which saw the club finish 12th, the side from west London are expected to busy this summer and Gallagher could be made surplus to requirements.
Todd Boehly has spent over half a billion pounds since taking over from Roman Abrahmovic and is likely to spend a huge amount in the coming months.
The Blues also confirmed the appointment of former Spurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino, as the Argentine coach returns to England for his third job in the Premier League.
Gallagher is not the only player that is set to leave the club, as Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are all linked with a move elsewhere.
Liverpool are not the only side in the running to sign the Chelsea midfielder and will face competition from UCL new-boys, Newcastle United.
