Leeds United’s Premier League survival ambitions were dealt a blow on Sunday as Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace ran rampant at Elland Road with a 5-1 victory.
Despite initially taking the lead, Leeds found themselves on the end of a 5-1 battering at Elland Road on Sunday.
Off the back of a crucial victory against Nottingham Forest last time out, Patrick Bamford opened the scoring against Crystal Palace after just 21 minutes in Yorkshire.

Palace struck back on the stroke of half-time however, with Marc Guehi heading home the equaliser from close range.
It all fell apart for the hosts in the second 45, as the Eagles dispatched a further four goals to secure a comfortable victory.
Goals from Eberechi Eze, Odsonne Edouard and a brace from Jordan Ayew in the second half ensured a second successive win for Roy Hodgson’s side.

A hat-trick of assists capped off a sensational display from talented young Frenchman Michael Olise too.
It’s a defeat that sees Leeds just two points clear of the relegation zone, as Palace go six points clear of the drop.
Leeds face a monumental challenge of remaining in the Premier League for next season.
Javi Gracia’s side have a tough run in for the remainder of the campaign.
They are still to face the likes of Liverpool, Fulham, Manchester City, Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur in their bid for Premier League safety.
Back to back wins for Hodgson gives Palace some breathing space in their survival challenge as they now look likely to avoid relegation.
Their next four fixtures will see them face direct relegation rivals in a real opportunity to pick up some more points to secure their safety in England’s top flight for another year.
