An anonymous Manchester United player has been talking to people outside of the Man Utd camp claiming that the players ‘are not having’ manager Erik Ten Hag.

This came about on talkSport radio, former Tottenham footballer and talkSport regular Alan Brazil claims that the radio station have been told by a current Man United player that the dressing room is ‘not having’ Ten Hag as their manager and are ‘definitely’ not keen on him being in the Old Trafford dugout. The players also supposedly do not agree with the treatment of ‘great guy’ Jadon Sancho and the departed Cristiano Ronaldo.

Brazil said:  “I know you’ve got to be careful what you report on – this is only what I heard from a United player who told someone we know very well. He said, the players are not having the manager, they’re not having him, definitely not. By all accounts, they’re disgusted at the way he treated Cristiano (Ronaldo) and they say (Jadon) Sancho is a great guy who works his socks off, so I don’t know who to believe, to be honest. He said the players aren’t having him, they’re not having him.”

Ten Hag suspended Ronaldo last season after he refused to be a substitute in a game against Tottenham. He stormed out of Old Trafford before full-time. Ronaldo left the club in November and then signed for Al-Nassr in January.

Ronaldo spoke to Piers Morgan in a released interview and he said: “The coach (Ten Hag) didn’t have respect for me. So this is why the relationship, it’s in that way. He keep saying in the press that he come to me, he like blah, blah, blah, but that is only for the press, 100 per cent. If you don’t have the respect for me, I’m never going to have the respect for you.”

Sancho has recently been suspended from Man Utd’s training facility after hitting back at the manager on social media after Ten Hag said in an interview following a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal that Sancho didn’t do enough in training to get into the squad. Sancho then claimed he was a ‘scapegoat’ in the team. Ten Hag has since demanded an apology but Sancho has remained quiet since.
