Andy Newton’s LAY OF THE DAY: 3.07 Hereford – BENNY SILVER

This Nigel Twiston-Davies runner – BENNY SILVER – will have plenty of fans after a string of placed efforts but the fact remains that this 6 year-old is still searching for his first win from nine efforts.

Meaning this chaser is becoming a tad exposed now and the other concern would be that he’s also been a beaten favourite in his last four runs too.

His neck second last time at Leicester was another solid run but it also came on heavy ground and will be tackling much quicker ground here (good). The last three runs on ground described as ‘good’ read 2-2-3, but more importantly beaten 3 1/2, 9 1/2 and 3 1/4 lengths. With his outing two runs back also coming at Hereford.

The final worry is the form of the Twiston-Davies yard, with only one win from their last 17, plus jockey Sam is also only 1 win from his last 25. Here at Hereford over fences the stable also boast a very average 7% record (1-from-15) with their chasers.

What Is Lay Betting On Horse Racing?

In short lay betting is to bet on something NOT to happen.
