The start of 2024 means one thing in particular from Kylian Mbappe’s point of view, he is now free to talk to potential suitors as his contract runs down.

The France and PSG megastar’s current deal runs out on 30th June and the undoubted frenzy for his signature will be full of drama until he signs on the dotted line.

Mbappe will quite literally have the pick from the world’s best teams and in terms of financial reward, it is more than likely going to be one of the biggest ever deals signed in professional football.

All of Europe’s major clubs would love to have Mbappe in their squad but realistically, who could go on to sign him for the start of the 2024/25 season?

Mbappe to Manchester United

Kylian Mbappe to Manchester United could gather more momentum over the next few months with fresh investment very likely from Sir Jim Ratcliffe. More finances and a stronger ambition could see the Red Devils make a real stance to sign the PSG star.

However, if United don’t secure a place in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League that stance could be hindered somewhat. A lot will hinge on how Erik ten Hag’s side perform in the second half of the Premier League season so watch this space.

Chelsea In For Mbappe

Chelsea have spent lavishly since Todd Boehly took control of the club and assuming they satisfy any potential FFP charges they may be looming over them, they’ll almost certainly be in the race to sign Kylian Mbappe. He would certainly score the goals the Blues so desperately need.

Mbappe could be tempted to relocate to London and with Chelsea’s trophy-laden spell over the last 20 years a huge draw for the world’s best players, the Frenchman could finally realise his own ambitions of winning the UEFA Champions League.

Mbappe Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe’s most likely destination has and always will be Real Madrid. The Harlem Globetrotters of professional football are one of the most famous, successful and biggest clubs on the planet and their ambitions would easily match Mbappe’s.

The chance to play at the Bernabeu with the likes of Jude Bellingham and Vini Jr will excite the best players on the planet and Mbappe certainly fits the mould of a Galactico. Carlo Ancelotti is a keen admirer of the 25-year old and he would likely go down as one of Los Blancos greatest ever signings.

Mbappe At Newcastle

Owing to Newcastle’s super-rich owners, Kyian Mbappe has often been linked with a move to St James’ Park but in reality it’s a huge long shot. Not only that, the Magpies appear to have their hands tied in terms of lavish spending as they need to satisfy FFP rules.

It was more of a pipe dream for the Toon Army to add Mbappe to their ranks but stranger transfers have happened in world football. Still, it’s very unlikely but it can’t be ruled out completely. Yet. A return to the UEFA Champions League would slightly strengthen their chances.

Liverpool To Sign Mbappe

Liverpool have recently emerged as a genuine front-runner to sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer. Mohamed Salah isn’t getting any younger and Mbappe would be a more than suitable long-term replacement. Also, he would have no trouble fitting into Jurgen Klopp’s 4-3-3 system.

The Reds were reportedly interested in the Frenchman during his Monaco days and Klopp would never break the bank for anyone, but it’ll just be the case of wages, bonuses and agent fees. Anfield is a very likely destination for Mbappe and he would thrive at the club.

Mbappe Suitors

Other Kylian Mbappe suitors include Arsenal, Manchester City and any Saudi Pro League side – who have an abundance of riches at their disposal. A move to the Middle East isn’t likely at this stage of Mbappe’s career but then again, money does talk.

The Gunners are in need of an out-and-out goalscorer and Mbappe is more than capable of firing Arteta’s side to domestic and European glory. City have more than half a chance but with their 115 FFP charges hanging over them, they may have to give Mbappe a miss.
