Kylian Mbappe has recently revealed that Lebron James has been a big help in giving him advice over a transfer mood in the summer.
Mbappe and James
In an interview with GQ magazine, Mbappe confirmed that he often goes to James for advice as he’s an experienced professional.
He said: “He has a much more advanced career than I do, and projects outside sport that have cemented his place as a legend.
“Being able to ask such inspiring personalities for advice is a chance to adjust my projects and create my own thing that is as effective as possible for today’s young people.
“These projects grow with me and make me particularly proud. It’s important for me to convey values like dialogue and sharing by surrounding myself with partners who support but above all understand and validate my societal commitment.”
Liverpool fans will no doubt get excited by this news as James is a big Liverpool fan and has a 2% stake in the club. James might be able to persuade Mbappe to join Liverpool in the summer.
Mbappe’s summer move
Mbappe has decided not to renew his PSG contract and he will be a free agent in the summer. He’s allowed to negotiate with other clubs now but no deal has been made yet.
Liverpool are one of the favourites to sign Mbappe in the summer as it’s a club that the 25-year-old admires and he has a big appreciation for manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds won’t be able to match the wages that Real Madrid will offer. Real Madrid almost signed Mbappe last summer but PSG offered the Frenchman a new deal that he couldn’t refuse.
Mbappe’s main goal is to win the Champions League and Real Madrid will seem the ideal destination considering they’re 14-time winners. Liverpool are fighting in the league to return to Europe’s elite next season as they failed to qualify for the Champions League in May.
Mbappe has given up on hoping his boyhood club PSG can win it.
No doubt rumours will continue to circulate regarding Mbappe’s future but everyone is waiting for July when he can officially put on the shirt of his next club.
