Jurgen Klopp sack odds now stand at 33/1 after crashing out of the Champions League. They failed to overturn their first leg thumping against Real Madrid.
- Liverpool were losing 5-2 coming into the tie
- Struggled to make chances throughout the game
- Karim Benzema scored the game’s only goal late into the game
- Klopp sack odd now at 33/1.
Klopp’s side knew they had a tough test on their hands after being dominated at Anfield in the first leg. Their need for goals was shown by Klopp’s team selection. Mo Salah, Darwin Núñez, Cody Gakpo and Diego Jota all started for the Reds. It was Nunez who had their best chance after being slid through by Salah, but he could only test the goalkeeper.
Vinícius Jr looked a threat throughout the first half. If it wasn’t for Alisson in the goal, the Brazilian would have had yet another goal this season.

Klopp Sack Odds: Will Liverpool Let Their Man Go?
It seems highly unlikely this one result will mean Klopp is sacked. However, they’ve been far from their best this season in general.
In the Premier League they’re some way of the leaders Arsenal. If they aren’t careful they might fail to even make it into the Europa League next season. The fallback to failing to reach the Champions League or Europa League will be seen during the transfer window. Players might be less attracted to joining Klopp’s side due to their European failure.
All these factors might result in Klopp and Liverpool’s relationship being ended after some successful years. Luckily, time is on Klopp’s side for now.
