According to Fabrizio Romano, Luis Enrique and Julian Nagelsmann are no longer in the running to become the next Chelsea Manager.

The Blues are in managerial turmoil after Graham’s Potter early departure, that saw him leave Stamford Bridge after just six months in charge.

His replacement, Frank Lampard, is yet to win a game on a return to the capital and the club find themselves in 11th place – with no hopes of Champions League qualification.

More misery was piled on Chelsea supporters after they saw their side be decimated by La Liga giants, Real Madrid. Los Blancos will face Manchester City in what is expected to be a mouth-watering encounter, as City look to complete the infamous ‘treble’.

With Frank Lampard being a temporary appointment, the Blues have been contacting a variety of managerial options to take the reigns for next season.

After Bayern Munich shockingly-sacked Julian Nagelsmann last month, many wondered where the German would end up. Chelsea’s vacancy was immediately deemed as the most suitable option and according to reports, the club were in ‘close’ contact with the former Bayern boss.

Nagelsmann is one of the youngest managers in world football, at 35-years-old the former RB Leipzig manager would be younger than club captain, Thiago Silva.

Chelsea had also been linked with a more experienced option, with Luis Enrique also being in contact with the Premier League giants.

However, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, the pair are now out of the running to be appointed by Todd Boehly after failing to agree a deal. Mauricio Pochettino has emerged as the favourite to land the role, despite his previous managerial spell at Chelsea’s rivals – Tottenham Hotspur.
