Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, has released a video saying goodbye to Liverpool fans after 12 years.
It has been widely reported that Henderson will end his time at Liverpool this summer and join Al-Ettifaq. The move will see him being managed by Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard.

The video sees Henderson walk round Anfield as he discusses his time with the club. He reminisces on signing for the club from Sunderland. He said that it was hard to leave his boyhood club more than a decade ago but “when Liverpool come knocking, you don’t say no”.
On his time at the club, Henderson said:
“I can’t lie, there have been hard times, really hard times. But when I look back at my career at Liverpool, it will always be the good times that I remember.”
Henderson highlighted the Champions League final in 2019 when they beat Tottenham his “favourite night”. He also said there were “no words” to describe the support during the parade around the city of Liverpool after winning the trophy.
Liverpool fans have flooded Henderson’s post with thank you messages after he confirmed he’s on his way out. The LGBTQ+ charity which organises the Rainbow Laces have also thanked Henderson for his support while at Liverpool. However, his connection with this organisation has led to people question why he would move to Saudi Arabia.
Henderson joins a long list of players who’ve made the big money move to the Saudi Pro League. He’ll be joining Roberto Firmino, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in the league.
The Liverpool captain isn’t the only player on the verge of making the move. Marco Verratti is on the brink of signing a three-year deal in Saudi.
The Saudi Pro League revolution continues. The question is, which big star will be next?
