James Wade Grand Slam Of Darts Odds
After his last-16 victory on Wednesday night against Chris Dobey, James Wade is one step closer to winning the Grand Slam of Darts for the first time in his career.
‘The Machine’ has finished runner-up in the Grand Slam of Darts on three previous occasions, with the last coming in 2020 when he was defeated in the final by Jose de Sousa. Wade is back to full health following a length illness, and looks to be peaking just at the right time once again.
With the 2024 PDC World Championship just around the corner, the the 11-time major winner looks to be coming into a rich vein of form just at the right time. Despite losing his first group game, Wade ended up winning Group A on four points.
Wade averaged 96.46 in defeat to Krzysztof Ratajski, before beating Nathan Girvan 5-2 with an average 12 points lower. In his final group game against Michael Smith, Wade ran out a 5-1 winner, sending the reigning Grand Slam champion, reigning World Champion and world number one packing.
Young Northern Ireland darting sensation Josh Rock awaits ‘The Machine’ in the next round. They will collide on the oche on Friday, November 17th in a best-of-31-legs game.
Wade has never played ‘Rocky’ before, but will be confident of progressing to the semi-final against the young up-and-comer. James Wade can be backed at 12/1 with BetMGM to win the tournament.
