Borussia Dortmund are growing in hope they will be able to secure a Jadon Sancho transfer – preferably on loan again next season.

Borussia Dortmund clinched a Champions League semi-final place on Tuesday night with a win over Atletico Madrid, leaving Jadon Sancho and co dreaming of an incredible end to a difficult season.

Sancho was frozen out of Old Trafford earlier in the season after he used social media to react to criticism from boss Erik Ten Hag, and subsequently refusing to apologise for his statement. Ten Hag shut him off from the first-team and Sancho sought refuge in old club Dortmund to reignite his season.

The move has certainly given him new life, and has provided him with an unexpected chance of ending the campaign by winning the biggest prize of all. It is also understood he has little interest in returning to Manchester United as it stands.

We have previously revealed on SportsLens that not only do Dortmund want to keep Sancho beyond this season but they hope to convince United to make it another temporary agreement.

Some reports have suggested it will take a £40million deal if BVB really do want to keep hold of him, but our sources are insisting that another loan option could yet be possible.

If Ten Hag remains United boss there is next-to-no chance of Sancho playing for United next season but even if he is gone it is thought Sancho might prefer to stay in Germany.

His form has started to return, along with his infectious self-confidence in his ability. Dortmund provide him with a positive environment and current boss Edin Terzic admires him.

It was looking likely that Terzic leaves Dortmund due to a disappointing campaign, as the club are languishing in fifth place in the Bundesliga.

Yet after propelling themselves into the final four of Europe’s elite competition, Terzic is now expected to keep his job and that in turn boosts the chances of Sancho staying with Dortmund next season.
