Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho has returned to training ahead of a crucial clash with Arsenal on Sunday after missing almost three months of football.
Sancho last featured for United in a 1-1 draw with Chelsea on October 22nd where he was substituted after 52 minutes for Fred – he made the bench on two later occasions but didn’t come on.
The 22-year-old spent some time over the World Cup break in the Netherlands, working to improve his match fitness and Erik ten Hag believed he would benefit from being away from Carrington.
Sancho was deemed not fit enough to be in the squad after Christmas and is now working through the necessary steps to rejoin the squad and prove his worth at Old Trafford.

Ten Hag also acknowledged that there was a mental aspect regarding Sancho’s situation that needed to be handled with care.
“Football players aren’t robots. No-one is the same and you need an individual approach. We thought that, in co-operation with Jadon, that this was the best choice.
“I would like to have Jadon back as soon as possible but I also can’t force this process. So I will do everything that’s in my power, but some processes you can’t force, this is one of them.
“I have to show patience although I don’t have the patience because we have a lack of options in the front line of players available who are able to contribute in the Premier League.”
Premier League betting sites give Manchester United the third-best odds of 16/1 behind Arsenal and Manchester City to win the title, but victory on Sunday could shift the current dynamic.
Erik ten Hag’s side travel to the Emirates to face Mikel Arteta’s men who are unbeaten in the league since their last meeting with United in September.
