West Ham forward Gianluca Scamacca is subject to heavy transfer interest from several Serie A sides, and according to reports, Inter have lodged a bid worth upwards of €28million to secure his signature.

After deciding against signing Romelu Lukaku permanently, Inter Milan have turned their attentions to West Ham forward Gianluca Scamacca, and have made a bid worth around €28million in an attempt to secure his services.

The initial bid is believed to be around €24million, with a further €4million in add-ons.

This comes from football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who claims that Scamacca has already agreed personal terms with Inter and that the deal now just depends on the clubs agreeing a fee.

“Inter have submitted new proposal for Gianluca Scamacca. €24m plus €4m add-ons bid has been sent to West Ham.” Romano tweeted on Friday morning.

“Negotiations continue as Scamacca has already agreed personal terms with Inter; deal depends on the clubs.”

Scamacca’s departure may well cause a number of problems at the London Stadium.

Regardless of the Hammers making around a £5million loss if the current offer is accepted, it leaves them with just three strikers in the form of Danny Ings, Michail Antonio, and academy youngster Divin Mubama.

Antonio has also been tipped to depart, so they will almost certainly need to sign at least one other striker, possibly even two.

However, West Ham are the only Premier League side not to have signed a new player this summer and have already lost club captain Declan Rice.

So with their reluctance to spend in the transfer market, and the loss of key figures in the squad, the Hammers could be in serious trouble heading into the new campaign.
