Badou Jack has cemented his boxing legacy by defeating Ilunga Makabu on Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury undercard to become a three-weight world champion.
‘The Ripper’ knocked the champion out in the final round , after securing two knockdowns prior to the stoppage in earlier rounds. Jack scored his first knockdown in the fourth round of the fight, with a second knockdown coming in favour of Badou Jack in Round 11.
Badou Jack has joined boxing royalty by winning a world title in a third separate weight division. The 39-year-old first became world champion back in 2015, before becoming a two-weight world champion in 2017 up at light-heavyweight.
Tonight’s fight was Jack’s fourth fight up at cruiserweight, and he certainly saved his best for tonight’s fight. The Swedish born fighter becomes the WBC World Cruiserweight Title and throws his name in the hat for some huge unification fights later this year.
