BANKER: 5:11 Ludlow: SEEFIN

Won well at Uttoxeter the last day by 8-lengths and with only four career runs looks the sort to build on that. Up 10lbs and into a better race here, but this Dan Skelton runner had plenty up his sleeve the last day and looks worth sticking with in this mood, with a 37-day break from that last run another plus.

LAY OF THE DAY: 2:20 Ludlow: NORMAN FLETCHER

This Nigel Twiston-Davies runner looks worth opposing today based on not jumping great the last day and taking a heavy fall. He was sent off at just 1/4 that day and clearly has ability based on what we saw in bumpers last season. But that recent experience at Huntingdon wouldn’t have been a nice one for the horse and it remains to be seen if it’s left a mark.

STAT HORSE: 1:40 Carlisle: VINCENZO 10/3

The Sam Thomas yard are in great form at the moment, with 3 winners from their last three runners, and the next one up for them is Vincenzo. This 5 year-old hasn’t been seen since running second at Chepstow in a bumper back in April, but went down by just 3/4 that day and can be expected to improve with another summer on his back and also now tackling hurdles.

Sam Thomas also runs Good Risk At All (3:55 Car) and Friars Island Lady (4:05 Lud) today.
