Harry Kane is expecting a tough challenge as he faces a well known rival in Man United with Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Kane made the move to the Bundesliga champions after deciding it was time for a new adventure away from the Premier League and Spurs.

Now, after almost a month with Bayern, he faces a club he knows well. Man United make the trip over to Germany in the opening round of the Champions League.

Erik Ten Hag’s team haven’t had the best start to their season, but despite that, they’ve got quality throughout their team. This is something Kane was keen to mention when speaking to the media:

“A difficult game. I know Manchester United are having a difficult moment, but sometimes teams like that are dangerous because they’re always looking to come back in a big way. So we have to be prepared for them and of course we want to get the crowd behind us as early as possible on Wednesday in front of our home crowd and approach the game with a lot of intensity.”

What Else Did Kane Say?

Kane also expressed his excitement to play in the Champions League for the first time with Bayern:

“The Champions League is always special and my first game with Bayern Munich will stay with me – so I hope it goes well.”

The England captain was also asked about his relationship with Bayern manager, Thomas Tuchel:

“He’s a really good guy and has great ideas about how we want to play and line up,

“Our relationship is good and I think it will continue to develop over time as we get to know each other better. He is one of the top coaches in the world and pushes me – and all the other players – to improve.”
