Two English giants are set to battle it out for England and Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. Here’s a Guehi future update.

Two of the most successful Premier League teams, Liverpool and Manchester United, are set to go head-to-head for the signing of Guehi this summer.

Liverpool’s interest comes as their options at centre-back have dwindled due to injuries. They’ve also got Joel Matip’s contract coming to an end this summer, with no option for 32-year-old guaranteed.

Guehi would face tough competition at the back for Liverpool. Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate have created a strong pairing when used this season. Unfortunately, the latter has had a tough time with injuries while in England.

Manchester United transfer news is sure to be a hot topic this summer and the Reds will be keeping a keen eye on Guehi’s future as they look to add more options to their defence.

Raphaël Varane and Lisandro Martínez have both had their issues with injuries since joining. Their current backup options are Johnny Evans and Harry Maguire. Maguire has performed well when needed, as has Evans but they need more quality if they’re going to challenge at the top yet again.

Manchester United transfer news – Will Guehi Leave Crystal Palace?

Crystal Palace are going through a period of change. Roy Hodgson departed after increasing fan pressure and recently falling ill. He has been replaced by Austrian Oliver Glasner who’ll be hoping to take Palace to the next level.

Key to taking the team to the next level will be keeping key players like Guehi. Along with Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise, Guehi is one of the key players at Selhurst Park. If they are to make progress they’ll need to keep these players.

With games still left to play, Glanser will have time to prove to the Palace players their best option is to stay. This might play a big part in Guehi’s future plans.
