Graham Potter has given his thoughts on £7o million summer signing Marc Cucurella after the full-back has struggled to find his feet for the Blues.
The Chelsea manager followed Cucurella to London having previously managed the full-back for Brighton. The injury to Ben Chilwell has meant that Potter has had to play the Spaniard, who has failed to impress so far. Potter believes that the whole squad needs to be accountable for their poor Premier League form and not just Cucurella.

The former Brighton manager said: “They’re humans with private lives and have stuff going on. Marc is not the only one. Supporters pay their money and the most important thing is what happens on that pitch in the 90 minutes.”
The Spain international was brought in over the summer for £70 million and fans have been disappointed with his level of performance. Potter understands their disappointment, stating that he is aware of the full-backs poor form but believes he can turn it around.
Potter said: “Marc is going about his work but I think he knows he isn’t going through his greatest form right now. It’s our job to help and support him and bring him to the place where he shows everyone his qualities.”
The 24-year-old is running out of time to turn things around as Ben Chilwell has recently returned from injury and may be in Potter’s future plans. As both full-backs will want to be involved in Chelsea’s Champions League tie against Borussia Dortmund.
