Ex-Manchester United defender Gary Neville has once again criticized the Glazer family over their sale of the club.
The Glazer family listed the club up for sale in November last year, however six months later it seems that a takeover has not progressed.
Despite no progress, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe have reportedly shown heavy interest, with numerous bids turned down.
It is believed that the American owners would still like a minority stake in the club even if they do sell, allowing for them to continue to make decisions post takeover.
Buying the club in 2005, their ownership is remembered for the cause of mass fan protests and an overall footballing decline.
Fans are heavily critical in their little to no investment in the rotting stadium and out-dated training ground.
Neville, who won eight Premier League titles at Old Trafford, took to Twitter to criticise their strategy claiming that they were ‘holding off’.
Plainly obvious the Glazer family aren’t going to announce anything on the ownership until the season is closed! They’ve been spinning it out unprofessionally for weeks and months now. They know fan protests would have been more significant than they already have if matches were…

This is not Neville’s first criticism of United’s ownership, with the Sky Sports pundit regularly taking swings. He previously said “They’ve proved to be very astute business people but now it’s time to hand over control because the club has deteriorated under their ownership.”
United manager Erik Ten Hag still lead the side to a top four finish, securing Champions League football in his first season despite the unrest between the club’s hierarchy and fanbase.
The Dutchman has already set his sights on the summer transfer window, with the Red Devils heavily linked to stars including Harry Kane, Neymar Jr and Kim Min-jae.
