Gareth Southgate is expected to name an unchanged starting lineup for England’s World Cup quarter-final clash against France tonight.

England are undefeated throughout their World Cup campaign to date with wins against Wales and Iran in the group stage and Senegal in the knockout stage, drawing only once against the USA.

Southgate will name an unchanged XI from the Three Lions’ 3-0 win against Senegal, opting to stick with Phil Foden over Raheem Sterling and Marcus Rashford on the left-wing.

England expected XI: Pickford; Walker, Stones, Maguire, Shaw; Henderson, Rice, Bellingham; Saka, Kane, Foden

The likes of Kieran Trippier, Trent Alexander-Arnold, James Maddison, Mason Mount and Jack Grealish will remain on the bench for England, ready to be called upon at any moment.

England vs France Betting

England and France will meet in a competitive environment for the first time in over 10 years on Saturday since their 1-1 draw in the group stages of Euro 2012.

France have cruised to the quarter-finals after topping Group D and dismissing Poland in the knockout stage with star man Kylian Mbappe tallying five goals already.

Didier Deschamps’ side are now favourites to win the competition and the winner of tonight’s tie will face either Morocco or Portugal in the semi-final.

England have three wins from four in during their World Cup campaign and have scored 12 goals already, including 3 each from Bukayo Saka and Marcus Rashford.

France enter the occasion as slight favourites but it is expected to be a tight affair with the spotlight on Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker and how he will cope with Mbappe on the left-hand side.
