The weekend’s early kick-off at Craven Cottage sees another pivotal chapter in the Premier League title race. Fulham vs Manchester City head-to-head stats suggest there shouldn’t be any shock results for the champions, however.

Manchester City can temporarily jump ahead of Arsenal at the summit, should they prevail in West London.

Saturday’s early kick-off is one that Arsenal fans will be casting a keen eye over, in the hope that Fulham hand them the mother-of-all morale boosts ahead of their trip to Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Gunners have taken just one point from a possible six against Fulham this campaign, so they will be crossing their fingers Marco Silva’s side can inadvertently provide a slither of redemption.

That hope appears remote to say the least given Manchester City haven’t dropped points at Craven Cottage since 2011.

In fact, they have won all 15 of their subsequent head-to-heads with Fulham since that 2-2 draw. Within that time frame, this weekend’s hosts have scored just seven goals, while City have netted a remarkable 45.

This of course does not bode well for Fulham, nor the Arsenal hopefuls who are clinging on to the possibility of City slipping up in their final three games.

For an added point of reference, Manchester City’s run-in record under Pep Guardiola is iron-clad; across his seven full seasons in charge, the Spaniard has only ever dropped points in five games out of a possible 29 when isolating the final three fixtures. Some of these were of course meaningless, much like their final two games last season where they had already wrapped up the title.

Arsenal Have Won Just Once in the Premier League at Old Trafford Since 2006

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s bid for a first Premier League title in two decades shows little signs of slowing down, but their latest challenge has proven problematic in years gone by.

They come against a Manchester United side who have just one win in their previous seven in the league, which has seen them slip as low as eighth at the time of writing.

However, recent trips to Old Trafford have been far from fruitful for Arsenal, no matter the kind of form Manchester United find themselves in.

Their last win against United on the road came all the way back in November 2020 – this also happened to be the Gunners’ first win at Old Trafford since 2006.

They have of course got the better of United on their own turf, remaining unbeaten in all competitions since 2017.

Bookmakers have Arsenal as short as 4/11 despite their recent shortcomings in South West Manchester. Whatever transpires in their match against Fulham a day earlier, City fans will be praying for their neighbours to lend a hand in their own bid for a record fourth consecutive title.
