Fulham vs Sheffield United Prediction
Neither Fulham nor Sheffield United have had a good start to the season, however the Blades have had a significantly worse start than their counterparts on Saturday.
Paul Heckingbottom’s side sit rock bottom of the Premier League table, with a singular point to their name, and have failed to win a single match in any of their eight games in all competitions thus far in 2023/24.
Their worst moment came just a couple weekends back against Newcastle United, when they were battered 8-0 in front of their home crowd – the biggest loss in the English top flight so far this season.
In comparison, the Cottagers are currently 13th in the table and have just two league victories to their name so far, and are struggling for goals following the departure of talismanic striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Despite their lack of goals, they’ve still managed to enjoy a better start to the campaign than Sheffield United, and we at SportsLens anticipate that they’ll run out as winners on Saturday, but only by a narrow margin.

With Sheffield United still on the hunt for their first win of the campaign, we at SportsLens just can’t see it happening, so at 8/5 we’re backing Fulham to win without conceding a goal on Saturday.
The Blades’ leaky defence and lack of goals makes their opponents an attractive prospect to back to win to nil in our bet builder, and despite the Cottagers only having five league goals to their name so far this season (joint lowest with Sheffield United and Bournemouth) – their defence somewhat makes up for it.
Marco Silva’s side have managed to keep three clean sheets from their opening seven games, whilst Sheffield United have failed to score in four of their eight games in all competitions.
We expect that this same feat will be achieved at Craven Cottage this weekend, with Fulham narrowly beating the Blades without shipping a goal in the process.
Fulham vs Sheffield United Betting Tip 2: Andreas Pereira To Score Anytime @ 3/1
He’s failed to score in any of his last five appearances in all competitions, but we feel that Andreas Pereira is due a goal in the Premier League and that this will come on Saturday.
Mitrovic’s departure means that Pereira is likely to be Fulham’s designated penalty taker, although this is still unconfirmed as they are yet to receive a penalty in the league yet this term.
However, they did go to a penalty shootout against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup at the end of August and Pereira took the first one, which may suggest that he’d be the one to step up in normal time if his team were to receive a spot-kick.
Due to a high likelihood of him being on penalties, as well as a sense that he is due a goal, we at SportsLens are backing Pereira to score at anytime against Sheffield United.
