Welcome to the latest article in a new series for the 2023/24 Fantasy Premier League season from @FPL_Heisenberg for Sports Lens. In this weekly piece, the FPL Heisenberg tips will be looking into the best three players for your FPL team – along with one juicy differential.
FPL Heisenberg has a proven track record in the competition, having finished inside the top 1% of FPL managers in each of the last 9 seasons – including a best finish of 836th. Let’s cook!
FPL Heisenberg Tips: ‘Saka, Watkins and Son’ – The Perfect Sounding Company For Gameweek 27
Bukayo Saka (Fixture: Sheffield United, Away)
Bukayo Saka has been on absolute fire in the last five gameweeks, scoring a total of 59 points which is a huge 11.8 points per gameweek – netting seven times in those five games.
He was in-and-out of form in the middle stages of the season, but now the proper Saka is back I expect the Premier League goals to keep on flowing away to a leaky Sheffield United.
Sheffield United have conceded more than any team this season so a big away win for the Gunners is on the cards – with plenty of goals to boot. Should that happen, it’ll likely be yet another big FPL return for Saka.
Heung-Min Son (Fixture: Crystal Palace, Home)
Listed as a midfielder in FPL – but potentially playing as Spurs’ number 9 if the rumours are true about a Richarlison injury – Sonny looks primed for points in Gameweek 27.
He has 12 goals and six assists this season and his underlying numbers (expected goals and expected assists) are solid too,
meaning his returns should be sustainable – especially as he is a clinical finisher as well.
With Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham playing a very attacking style of football, it’s likely there will be plenty of goals when Spurs play – even more so when they come up against a poor defence like Crystal Palace who have struggled this season.
It’s also worth noting that Son still has great points potential if he is deployed on the left and he’s also on Tottenham penalties too.
Ollie Watkins (Fixture: Luton, Away)
Ollie Watkins has a huge 29 attacking returns this season – 14 goals and amassed 15 assists in 26 games – making him a superb choice once again this Gameweek.
A juicy fixture for the Englishman away to newly-promoted Luton who have conceded plenty of goals this season (only Burnley and Sheffield United have conceded more).
Watkins is the main man for Villa, both in terms of goal contributions and minutes on the pitch. He’s played 90 minutes in the majority of Premier League games for Aston Villa – which is great for the potential of late goals which has happened a lot this season.
I’m predicting a comfortable win for Aston Villa, scoring a couple of goals at least. I’d be shocked if Watkins blanks in this one.
Differential – Kai Havertz (Fixture: Sheffield United, Away)
Kai Havertz (who is owned by less than 2% of managers) has a very good chance of making it three double-digit hauls in a row this Gameweek as Arsenal travel to Sheffield United.
Listed as a midfielder in FPL but should play as their central number 9 and he’s found his shooting boots with two goals and two assists in the last two games.
As mentioned earlier, I’m predicting a big away win for Arsenal. Arsenal have been free-scoring in 2024 which will help Havertz chances for big points this week.
Arsenal face Brentford at home the following gameweek too so it’s another chance for Havertz to rack up the differential points in that one too.
