Cristiano Ronaldo rolled back the years in last night’s match against Al-Wehda and provoked a huge reaction from supporters on twitter.
The former Premier League star managed to secure his first hat-trick in Saudi Arabia after he scored all four goals in Al-Nassr’s 4-0 victory. Scoring a brace in each half, Ronaldo showed the level of quality that fans have become accustomed to over the years.
He opened the scoring at around the 20 minute mark with a composed finished, which brought a landmark achievement as it was his 5ooth league goal. He then doubled the lead with another silky finish, leaving the Al-Wehda goalkeeper with no chance.
Ronaldo completed his hat-trick just over an hour into the fixture as he made no mistake from the penalty-spot and made it 61 career hat-tricks. The 38-year-old added insult-to-injury as he secured his fourth of the match and stamped his authority on his new side.

Twitter was in meltdown, as over the last few months Ronaldo has been subject to a lot of mocking. Many viewed the move to Saudi Arabia as a huge step down for the 5-time Ballon D’or winner. His four goals caused chaos on twitter as some fans were unimpressed with the Portugese’s achievement.
Many fans were returning to the famous Messi vs Ronaldo debate, which caused a lot of controversy.
