After FA Cup semi-final heartbreak, Brighton need to regroup to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League. Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed the Brighton team news ahead of the game.

Brighton were beaten by Manchester United on penalties in the FA Cup semi-final. The club were hoping to reach the final to cap off what has been a fantastic season for the south coast club.

Now, Brighton’s attention turns to their Premier League campaign and their hopes of qualifying for Europe. They currently sit on 49 points with games in hand over the teams above them. If they’re able to win these games, they may end up in the Europa League next season. Failing that, it’ll be the Europa Conference League for De Zerbi’s men. I doubt Brighton’s fans will complain either way which competition they get.

Brighton Team News Ahead Of The Trip To The City Ground

De Zebri needs to quickly shift his team’s focus back to their league campaign after the disappointment in the cup.

Brighton face a tough trip to relegation battling Nottingham Forest. The City Ground has been electric this season, and it’ll be no different under the floodlights for this game.

Ahead of the game, De Zebri gave an indication of the Brighton team news.

Even Ferguson missed the FA Cup game and is set to miss this one as well. Speaking about Ferguson, who recently signed a new contract, De Zebri said:

“Ferguson I don’t want to take any risk with him. We have another nine games. Maybe he can be important for the last eight if there is some risk.”

Danny Welbeck has been the main striker with Ferguson injured, but the former England international came off in the final with a knock. However, De Zebri was confident he’ll be fine for the Nottingham Forest game.

This means Adam Lallana, Jakub Moder, Tariq Lamptey and Jeremy Sarmiento are all still on the sidelines.
