Federico Chiesa is reportedly ‘destined’ to leave Juventus this summer, after attracting interest from Newcastle United and a host of other Premier League sides.

The Magpies are reportedly interested in signing yet another Italian international, after adding Sandro Tonali to their squad this summer. As Eddie Howe is said to be intrigued by the possibility of signing Juventus star, Federico Chiesa.

The Italian returned to action in the 2022-23 campaign after suffering a major knee injury, appearing 33 times for Juve in all competitions.

However, after contributing to 10 goals (4 goals & 6 assists) his potential suitors will be hoping to see the form of 2020/21 – prior to his serious injury.

During that campaign, the 25-year-old made 46 appearances for Juventus, netting 15 goals and 11 assists, alongside an impressive performance in Italy’s Euro 2021 triumph.

Any deal for the Italian’s services may face a huge stumbling block, as Chiesa is reportedly demanding an increased salary and still has two-years remaining on his current deal.

The Magpies are more than capable of offering a substantial bid, following their Saudi Arabian takeover and their performances last season may make them an enticing prospect.

Boasting an impressive record against the top six sides in England, Howe has established himself as one of the best managers in the country.

Champions League qualification was not the only achievement for the club this season, as they reached the Carabao Cup final – losing 2-0 to Manchester United.

Key signings have been key for the Toon since Howe’s appointment, with the likes of Alexander Isak, Kieran Trippier and Nick Pope playing a huge part in the club’s success.

Howe’s side will face stiff competition for the Italian’s services, as Liverpool are also interested in landing Chiesa’s signature.
