Kai Havertz has concerned Chelsea fans as the German claims he would ‘like’ to reunite with Thomas Tuchel in the future, per Fabrizio Romano.

The footballing world was shocked when Bayern Munich sacked Julian Nagelsmann, after the German appeared to be having a respectable season. However, the club decided that his time was up and instead gave the reigns to former Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel.

During his time in London, Tuchel lead his side to a Champions League trophy in 2021 and was made surplus to requirements only a year on. Taking over the Bundesliga giants will be his first step back into management since and he may be looking towards his former club for possible additions.

One player that could be on the German’s wish list is his fellow countryman, Kai Havertz. The 23-year-old signed for Chelsea in 2020 and has established himself as one of the Blues’ most important players.

When asked about a possible reunion with his former manager, Havertz stated that the duo had a good relationship and how he would ‘like’ to work with him again.

He said: “We had a very good relationship, I’m grateful. Working with him again? I’d like it! You never know what will happen in football.”

Signs of a possible overhaul of Chelsea additions at Munich, with Tuchel reportedly interested in bringing Blues coach, Anthony Barry, to Germany. Barry would join the backroom staff and reunite with his former colleague, becoming the first to do so.

Chelsea fans may be concerned with the amount of players that have been linked with Bayern Munich, as Mason Mount and Marc Cucurella have also been rumoured with an exit.

However, the Blues will have bigger things on their mind in the Premier League, as Graham Potter looks to improve on tenth place. Their hopes in Europe are still in tact, for now at least, as they face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter finals.
