Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his desire to stay at Real Madrid with the Italian jokingly saying he would stay until ‘2034’, per Fabrizio Romano.

Los Blancos appointed Ancelotti in July 2021 after his spell in the Premier League with Everton, and the Italian has enjoyed life in Spain, so far. Winning the La Liga and Champions League double last season, he became the first manager to do so since Zinedine Zidane in 2017.

This is not the Italian’s first spell at Real Madrid,as he took the reigns from 2013 to 2015 – winning a UCL in his first season.

However, Madrid’s campaign this year has been underwhelming given the fans’ expectations, sitting 11 points behind Barcelona. Their El Clasico rivals are set to win their 27th title, which has not gone down well with supporters.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed Ancelotti’s commitment to the La Liga side and the Italian appears to be keen to fulfill his duties in Spain.

A saving grace for the Madrid faithful has been their clubs’ performance in the Champions League, dismantling Liverpool in their round of 16 tie. The Spanish giants will face Chelsea in the quarter final and look likely to retain the trophy.

Despite this, rumours of Ancelotti leaving the club in the summer have surfaced and he has spoken publicly about possibly becoming the manager of Brazil.

The former Chelsea manager said: “Yes, the reality is that if the national team of Brazil wants me, I’m very excited. But there is a contract at Madrid.”
